About
I'm Maya, a queer, non-binary, mixed Xicanx artist and educator from California and Texas. I mainly work in linocut and risograph printmaking, and continue to play around with materials and styles to explore storytelling, my culture, and my families. Through my work, I connect to the natural world and to those who came before me, illustrate the strength within my communities, and navigate my own emotions, relationships, and identities.
